Bagel Recall as Warning Issued Over Potentially Fatal Products

A Michigan-based delicatessen has issued a recall of three subs and two types of breakfast bagels due to the potential presence of undeclared sesame seeds.

The products, which were distributed in clear plastic wrapping, were sold with expiration dates ranging from December 5 to December 15.

Consumers with sesame allergies are urged not to consume these products and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The recall was issued after the company discovered that the sesame seeds were not listed in the ingredient list on the product packaging. The company is investigating the cause of the error and is taking steps to prevent it from happening again.

In addition to the recall, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is also advising consumers with sesame allergies to be aware of the potential presence of undeclared sesame seeds in other products.

The FDA is working with the company to determine the extent of the distribution of the affected products.
