NASA sets exact date astronauts will make ‘terrifying and thrilling' return to the Moon

NASA has not yet set an exact date for the return of astronauts to the Moon. However, the agency is currently working on the Artemis program, which aims to land astronauts on the Moon by 2025.

The first Artemis mission, Artemis I, is an uncrewed test flight of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft. Artemis I is scheduled to launch in November 2023.

If Artemis I is successful, NASA will then move on to Artemis II, which will be a crewed mission around the Moon. Artemis II is scheduled to launch in 2024.

The specific date for the landing of Artemis III has not yet been set, but it is likely to be in 2025.

NASA is still working on the development of the Human Landing System (HLS), which is the spacecraft that will land astronauts on the Moon.

Once the HLS is ready, NASA will be able to set a firm date for the landing of Artemis III.

The agency is committed to landing astronauts on the Moon by 2025, and it is making good progress towards that goal.
