TAYLOR SWIFT NEARS UNWANTED BILLBOARD CHART RECORD

Taylor Swift is inching closer to breaking a record for the most weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 chart by a woman.

The current record holder is Whitney Houston, who spent 46 weeks at the top of the chart with her album 'Whitney Houston' in 1987.

Swift's album 'Folklore' has spent six non-consecutive weeks at number one, bringing her total to 45 weeks at the top of the chart.

If 'Folklore' spends one more week at number one, Swift will break Houston's record.

However, Swift has expressed that she does not want to break the record, as she is a huge fan of Houston and respects her legacy.

The music industry has changed significantly since Houston's record was set, with streaming services and social media playing a larger role in chart success.
