Watermelon for dogs? Safely feeding Fruit for dogs

The good news is that watermelon is dog-friendly. The American Kennel Club warns, nonetheless, that care must be taken.

The watermelon must first be seedless, or the seeds must be removed, before being fed to a pet.

It's a great nutritious treat for your pet because it contains no fat or cholesterol.

It has the same amount of sugar as strawberries. To avoid stomach problems, limit your dog's watermelon intake. 

You can give your dog watermelon pieces, but there are interesting ways to enjoy it.  One approach is to purée and freeze watermelon
